Our XP system isn’t just a ladder — it’s a cosmic little adventure woven into Masquerade’s theme. Instead of generic ranks, members rise through seven stages that mirror a journey from the ground beneath their feet to the edge of the universe:
Earth → Sky → Sun → Stars → Cosmic Fire → Nebula → Aether
Each stage has its own beautifully designed mask and a tiny verse of hidden lore.
No one needs to collect or read them — it’s simply an Easter egg for curious members and a bit of flavor for those who appreciate world-building.
Why do we do this?
It makes leveling feel intentional instead of random.
It adds a touch of mystique to something normally plain.
It mirrors Masquerade’s aesthetic of elegance, fantasy, and quiet discovery.
And honestly? It’s just fun knowing the universe is secretly tucked inside the item descriptions.
Staff don’t need to mention the poem or hint at it.
It’s there purely as a hidden delight — a private narrative that rewards the players who pay attention and gives our system a unique, magical identity.
